Premier League Title Race Could Go To The Wire

The race to win the 2012 English Premier League title could go right down to the final day of the season. The two Manchester clubs, City and United, are neck and neck at the top of the league table. Tottenham Hotspur are not far behind in third place, and remain in contention to become unlikely champions.

At the moment, it’s too close for most experts to call. While United have the experience of winning the title so many times in the recent past, City have a talented and expensively assembled squad, lead by a manager who has experience of winning the league in his native Italy.

If, like many people, you enjoy betting on the football, you may have noted that the bookmakers are also unable to decide on a clear favorite and the odds they are offering clearly demonstrate their indecision. Coral, one of the leading betting companies in the UK, have Manchester City priced at 8/11 and United priced only slightly higher at 13/10 – so as you can see, there is virtually nothing between them. Tottenham are seen as slight outsiders and are priced accordingly at 16/1, however their strong form may make them a good outside bet at such a generous price.

With such a closely fought contest in prospect, if you plan to have a bet on the overall Premier League winner this season, it may be sensible to use a free bet rather than risk your own money. Coral themselves offer a £30 Coral free bet to new customers which can be used to bet on any sport, including the football.

This would mean that if you got the outcome wrong, at least you wouldn’t lose any of your own money. Whether you decide to bet on the outcome or just sit back and enjoy the action, it’s sure to be a dramatic end to the season which football fans everywhere will enjoy.
