Spaghetti Sauce Recipe

Nearly every family in North America eats spaghetti, so it is not surprising at how many spaghetti sauce recipes there are out there. Some are a family secret that are handed down to new generations, while others are eagerly shared with friends and family members so that everyone has a chance to enjoy it. Did your mom have a favourite spaghetti sauce recipe? Perhaps you should ask her, if you remember enjoying it as a child.

If you want to start a family tradition, invent yourself a spaghetti sauce recipe and then keep it a secret from everyone else. Pass it on to your daughter when she gets married, and then she can do the same to her daughter and so on. Or, you can just make it up as you go along, this way you will never make the same sauce twice, and every time will be a brand new experience.

Some of the easiest spaghetti sauces around simply involve taking a jar or premade spaghetti sauce of any flavour and then adding your favourite ingredients to it. These ingredients can include herbs and spices, cooked meat, vegetables or other items that you enjoy with your spaghetti. Acceptable meats include ground beef, chicken or turkey, and if you are making an Alfredo sauce you can always saut some chicken or seafood to add on top of your creation.

Trying to find a great spaghetti sauce recipe shouldn’t be too difficult, as there are thousands of them on the internet. Grab a few of them and try them out, if one of them doesn’t really strike your fancy then you can go back for more. One of the best ways to get good recipes is to ask your friends, if they have been cooking for a while then it is probable that they have a book somewhere with all of their favourites written inside.

Once you find or invent a good spaghetti sauce recipe, make yourself a nice big batch of in and freeze the leftovers in Tupperware containers. Not only will the sauce still taste fantastic in a few weeks or months, but it will save you from having to put your apron back on a few times. You’ll just have to thaw and heat the sauce and combine it with your favourite, freshly cooked pasta and you’ll have a great family meal that will have everyone raving about your skills in the kitchen.
