Don’t Wait Till Tomorrow to Back Up Your Data

by Marco Maseko

Data recovery is always an option, from hard drives that are 2 GB in size to the largest of over 300 GB or more of data. No matter what size hard drive you have, the data can generally be recovered. Keep in mind that if you’ve had a computer crash, you’ll need to send the hard drive off to have the data recovered by technicians.

Computer data can be very important to us, especially those of us who make a living on the computer. Over the last several years, the computer has grown on all of us, making our lives so much easier. For that very reason, it’s easy to tell that if we lost our computer data, it would completely destroy a majority of us.

Losing data can be an overwhelming thought to say the least. Computers store data, although machines have been known to fail. Even though the computer has become a lot more reliable over the years, it is virtually impossible to prevent computers from losing data.

One of the key benefits of data recovery is the fact that information can also be retrieved from the recycle bin as well. Partition recovery, and even information that has been lost somewhere on the disk can be retrieved as well. Even though it may seem like your data is gone forever – the technicians that specialize in data recovery can retrieve it.

When you create a backup of your entire hard drive, it will copy all of your information, so if something happens you’ll always have your data. Doing a full backup of your hard drive is great, although it can be very time consuming. To make matters worse, it is recommended that you create a backup at least once a week. On the other hand, if what you have on your computer is very important, you’ll find it more than worth the effort and time needed to back things up.

Above everything else, you should always think about the possible disasters that can occur at any time and how to be prepared for them. If you think about things and plan things out before hand, you’ll find that you can handle any type of disaster. This way – a disaster doesn’t have to stop you from carrying out your normal day to day operations.

A Source of Information on Online Business Directories

by Dhanraj

Achieving good search engine visibility has become a necessity for every website today. Sometimes you may feel disconnected and separated from the rest of the world and disenfranchised a bit. There are many ways by which a website can get high rankings in major search engines. One such important method is directory submission. Then the best way for you to solve this problem is to get yourself connected.

Once a website is submitted it takes anywhere between 1 day to 3 months for the website link to be added into the directory. Whether your directory is targeting the local business community or you are targeting the international health community, to ensure that your site gets added into the directory, one must submit it in the most appropriate category otherwise it can be rejected. This way finding the business opportunity that the best fits with you is as easy as browsing popular search engines.

It provides a way for search engine spiders also known as crawlers to find the website and index it in their own database. There are many more business opportunity directories to browse in numbers of other publications available in different formats. As soon as a site is hosted, it must be submitted in web directories so that search engine robots can crawl it.

Since these robots visit directories more often than other sites, probability remains high that your site will be indexed soon. People will begin to respect what you are doing and may tell more people about your directory since they are starting to feel that your directory is more people oriented instead of just simply getting the most listings in the world You as the owner of the site do not have to submit your site to search engines; instead they themselves come and find your site.

A directory placement provides the extra benefit of getting relevant traffic to your website. Searching for the business opportunity on business opportunity directories is a good way to find the legitimate offer you might be interested in. Since people who are actively looking for new websites and portals often visit these web directories, chances remain high that such people may also visit your site and thus provide your site free traffic. Sometimes you can immediately find the opportunity that sounds really attractive for you and which have proven to be legitimate and effective over the years.

Tips For Making Chocolate Candy

by Lee Dobbins

If you have a little bit of a sweet tooth, what can be better than homemade chocolate candy?! Whether you just want something sweet that is made by your own hands, or whether you are making it to sell or for a party, it can be rewarding and an enjoyable experience. Making chocolate candy can be easy, especially if you use some of my top tips.

Make sure that everything you will use – the bowl and the spoon for example – is completely dry before you do anything with it. Oil and water will never mix together. Since chocolate is oil based, when you are melting and using your chocolate you need to have dry apparatus so that your chocolate doesn’t split due to the mix of water and oil.

There are two ways to melt your chocolate. The traditional way is to use a bain marie, this is a water bath that uses boiling water underneath one bowl, and on top is another bowl for which you can put your chocolate. The heat will then melt your chocolate, without exposing it to the water. The other way to melt chocolate is to use the microwave. But to do this, it must be a good quality chocolate. You should put it in a microwaveable bowl for thirty seconds, then mix it, and repeat until melted. To make it easier to melt, break all the chocolate into even sized, small pieces. Or to cheat and make it quicker, use chocolate chips!

Although chocolate does taste lovely on its own, quite often adding a flavouring can really give your chocolate candy added appeal. It is easy to do, just buy flavouring specifically for chocolate candy making, or get something such as vanilla extract and add it into the melted chocolate yourself. The only tip with this is to make sure that it is as pure as possible. Any water in it and your chocolate could split, making it textured and unsuitable for eating.

When you are putting your chocolate into your moulds, there are some easy little tips for you. Pour slowly and attempt to pour evenly so that your chocolate does not get odd shapes within it. Also make sure that whatever you are pouring it into or on does not have a surface which will leave unwanted indentations into your chocolate candy.

The final tip is on fast cooling. If you have made a mould of your chocolate, then the best way to get that professional glossy sheen is to put the still warm chocolate straight into the freezer for cooling purposes. If you allow it to cool outside of the freezer first, then it will have a clouded foggy look, okay for eating at home, but not the best way to present it professionally or for a dinner party.

The final tip is to add something a little extra, something that really marks it out for yourself. By melting down a different type of chocolate, or the same type in a little pattern, then you can add this to your already hard chocolate, and create a different design using your own type of flare.

Six Things To Look For When Hiring A Teleprospecting Company

by Terry Stanfield

The right teleprospecting company is an important part of profitable business to business telemarketing programs. Without the right people and highly trained staff a call center will not reach its potential and generate the amount of sales possible. A telesales team is responsible for communicating with existing and prospective clients to inform them about products, services, and to generate sales.

It is important to understand the skills and traits that make a successful teleprosecting company. If you want the teleprosecting company you choose to help your business be successful you will need to know what makes a good teleprosecting company.

When you are choosing a teleprospecting company you will want to make sure that they have the necessary experience to successfully close sales for your target market. Don’t be afraid to ask for sales records from other clients or to enquire about their experience level and how long they have been in business.

The teleprospecting company you choose should also be familiar with the database software you use as well as the market in which you operate. The more familiar they are with your type of customers the more successful they will be with closing sales.

You will also need to decide if you will provide specialized training to the teleprospecting company you choose or if they need to already possess the knowledge to work with your market. If you do not want to offer training be sure the company you go with will not need additional instruction to be successful for your business.

You should also set up a few demo calls to gauge the level of the company’s professionalism and experience. It is important that the company you choose conducts their calls with the utmost professionalism because they are representing your company.

Budget can be a concern when hiring a firm to work for your business and this is especially true for business to business telemarketing firms because they can be expensive. The best telesales company may not be the most expensive one so be sure to compare a few to get the best price.

You will also want to look for a telesales company that has low turn over. If a company can hold on to its employees it is more likely to treat its clients as well.

If you need a telesales team to help make sales for your business you should be sure to interview all prospective firms thoroughly. Business to business telemarketing takes specialized knowledge and skills so hire your team carefully.

Metallurgical Engineering

by David Niebuhr

Metallurgical engineering is problem solving or development of products using the engineering disciplines of materials science and metallurgy. If metallurgy is the development and production of metallic components, then a simple explanation of metallurgical engineering is optimizing the metallic elements and compounds for a specific function.

Metallic compounds can be found in jewelry, vehicles and many items we use in our everyday life. The marketability of each product requires it’s slight change in metallurgical properties in order to be utilized in a manner consistent with the item required. Advances in metallurgical engineering over the past 100 years has brought to our market steel engine parts, durable building materials, bridges, high temperature withstanding steels, aircrafts light in weight yet strong and durable. We also see jewelry, a necklace or tube of toothpaste and must compare the wide ranging properties of metals to create such a wide market of products.

Aluminum, copper, titanium and nickel are commonly studied and experimented with in metallurgical engineering. We create alloys by mixing these elements and metallic compounds, each of which will have properties and characteristics distinctly different than the others. Metallurgical engineers often are called upon to develop specific alloys to meet specific requirements and design criteria.

These measurable characteristics are cost, weight, strength, hardness, and fatigue resistance to name a few. Another important feature of an alloy that metallurgical engineering specialists are interested in is the maximum temperature the alloy can handle and its performance at that temperature.

Tribology

The science of specific mechanisms is knows as Tribology, which is about moving parts that touch and rub against each other. Friction and wear are problems that these mechanisms experience and that metallurgical engineers attempt to eliminate. Heat and wear analysis will show failure points. Tribology covers research into protective materials and lubrications to curb wear in moving parts and particularly items such as bearing.

Leonardo da Vinci studied tribology and realized the laws of friction back in the 14th century era. Leonardo realized that distance and weight are proportionate to the amount friction generated. The term did not actually exist back, nor the field as we know of it today. Tribology was born in the late 1700s when the first tests were carried out. It was all about gold coins then and how quickly they would wear.

Scientists, and more specifically tribologists, are continually discovering more relationships to be used in metallurgical engineering and failure analysis. The importance of tribology lies in the definition – studying the wear of moving parts.

The vehicle market, automobiles and aircraft, are by far the largest markets in engineering today. These vehicles need to be completely reliable and safe, with emphasis of safety. When parts wear, they become unstable, experience a loss of integrity and are plainly compromised with a loss of safety. Metallurgical engineers take great pains in provided the best engineering to create the best of parts for these markets. Parts on the market of all of the highest caliber and made from the proper materials.

It’s very important to metallurgical engineers that when engine components, lock-gates, bearings or railroad system are designed, tribology is studied and proper configuration and materials are utilized for all parts in question.

Engineering Consultant

An engineering consultant is often relied on to be an expert in a needed field. Often businesses do not employ the proper engineer on their staff and utilize the services of outside engineers to meet their needs. Working together as a team is integral to achieving the desired results and designing and producing required parts. The engineering consultant field is well utilized and provides the input and research needed in the marketplace.

On the other side of the spectrum, large corporations also use engineering consultants as when emerging into a new market or un-chartered territory, like an automotive engine manufacturer expanding to build jet engines as well. The company in this example would hire an engineering consultant to ensure that the design, materials, manufacturing processes and assembly techniques are up to the latest engineering standards.

Often a different engineering consultant will be drafted for the different topics or projects involved in the business expansion. Sometimes one individual or a firm will be hired on to coordinate an entire transition.

Basically only specialists in a specific field or market, engineering consultants are problem solvers. Industry utilizes these individuals to solve problems, work out issues, research product requirements, materials and to gain experience and expertise in a precise scope of work.

A few types of engineering consultants’ specific disciplines are aerospace engineering, metallurgical engineering, materials engineering, automotive engineering, structures engineering, industrial engineering and manufacturing engineering. These engineers would work together with the team to solve a critical issue with the business. The demand for engineering consultants is growing more and more each year as technology is advancing and standards are increasing.

Breath Control And Its Importance In Professional Singing – Karaoke CDs

by Tina Welsh

One of the most essential but oftentimes forgotten facets of great singing is to develop a technical breath control technique. Many fresh or undisciplined singers don’t even have an inkling that by breathing correctly, they are not only able to hold a note farther, have a more secure tone and will not become breathless easily. That is why gaining great singing lessons before a singer establish his/her singing career is so vitally critical.

Many individuals must have reckoned that why should they concern about breathing proficiencies when they already have been breathing their whole life. If they don’t how to breathe then they would have already passed out, wouldn’t they?

Come on, singing breath control is more than simply understanding how to breathe. It is a breathing proficiency and can make a world of a difference if you need to sing better.

To most people, respiring simply implies that you are just filling 2 bags (your lungs) with air and then compressing them out over your vocal cords, right? WRONG! It is often more than that.

So what is the accurate singing proficiency? Well, have you sensed of vocalists babbling about singing from the diaphragm? Well, what they are blabbing about is the singing breathing proficiency or breath control by your diaphragm.

When you take a breath, are you permitting your belly to move out of the way of at lowest of the bags (lungs)? If not, you won’t lead off with sufficient air to get you through a number of notes without having to take a breather in again. So you will get breathless pretty speedily.

The correct way to take in air is to take a breath in a solid, deep breath and imagine breathing that breath into your tummy. If you do that, your stomach will expand outwards, out of the way of your fast occupying up lungs.

That means that your lungs will have more capability to take in more air and when you breathe out or release the air when singing, the normal motility of your stomach coming back in acts like an accordion, regularising the outflow of air. It this way, your singing tone will be more steady and gratifying to listen to.

As you are now acquiring more air with each breathing space, you are now able to hold notes farther, able to hit higher notes and will not get breathless as easily too.

Now the consecutive thing to acquire is to let your vocal cords be the controller of the air supply, letting what it needs to pass through and at the same time breathing normally.

There are many doctrines on breathing techniques for letting the air passed through your vocal cords, like do you “let” the air out, do you “hold” the air back, do you “push” the air out.

You see, the most standard trouble with running out of breath when singing has little to do with breathing although it does play a part! That problem has to do with permitting too much air to outflow when you are voiding your lungs during a song. If your vocal cords are coming together with a decent stable seal, it takes very little air to sing a solid and stable tone!

Nevertheless, if you are singing into falsetto or if you have not found your chest sound at all (some adult females really have this problem), you will be allowing needless air escape while you are singing and you will be running out of breath much sooner than you want to. So by using the correct method of breath control when you sing and you will never commence breathless again.

The Evolution of Pots and Pans

by Hellen Zee

In the earliest days of the primitive human race, food was cooked over an open flame or placed on hot rocks which were heated in an open flame. As time progressed and civilization marched on, the invention of pots and pans came along. With the ability to boil water in a controlled environment, suddenly a multitude of new recipes and new methods of cooking became available to everyone. As time progressed, the simple concept of pots and pans has become a veritable forest of options and choices for the skilled cook, with no shortage of fancy pots and pans to choose from. With Teflon cookware coatings, nonstick surfaces and all manner of new improved cookware items, the pots and pans in the modern day are truly amazing and serve a variety of functions.

In those early days, simply heating water was a monumental chore, due largely to the fact that pots and pans and other types of cookware simply were not easy to come across. In almost any archaeological exploration, clay pots and pans are turned up left and right, but before these clay items came along other types of cookware were utilized, including the aforementioned heated rocks. Without pots and pans, mankind did what they had to to cook their food, laying it on hot rocks, putting the food on a spit and holding it over an open fire, and that old standby, consuming food raw. With so much difficulty and so much uncertainty in the preparation of food it is easy to see that cooking was a very difficult chore in these early days.

Today, pots and pans are so advanced that the work involved in cooking has almost been completely eliminated. The preparation involved in cooking now includes pushing a switch and watching the food closely to ensure that it does not burn. With the right kind of cookware, even the close attention is not always necessary. Compared to chopping wood and building a huge fire, the whole concept of pushing a switch seems extremely appealing. With modern-day pots and pans, there is a tremendous amount of ease involved in preparing food compared with primitive man.

While it seems somewhat commonplace, some of the revolutionary breakthroughs with pots and pans include pressure cookers, slow cookers and crock pots, staples of the modern-day kitchen. But these items weren’t always so common and quite often preparing food in primitive times was more of an adventure than a chore. From chopping up firewood to getting a roaring flame started, all the way down to applying the food to open heat, the difference between cooking in primitive times compared with the modern day with cookware is like night and day. There really is no comparison, as we have grown so efficient and so simple that it is no longer even in doubt how easy it is to prepare food.

As we have evolved, pots and pans have kept pace with all manner of new technological advancements becoming available on a regular basis. From stainless steel pots at pans to nonstick surfaces that are easy to clean, food preparation and cookware has become far more than just a chore. While in primitive times you might have been required to start a tremendous fire and wait for it to reach the proper temperature, today we simply set a timer and begin cooking. The ease of use with the modern-day pots and pans has made cooking a simple point and click affair.

It is easy enough to take the evolution of pans for granted, but without these extremely fascinating leaps in technology, we would very likely still be cooking food with a hot rock or holding our meat over an open fire. The wonders of modern technology have brought us a long way and mankind has made great advances, not the least of which is the way in which we prepare our food. Without these leaps in technology, mankind would still be subject to all manner of difficulties, not to mention parasites that are easily spread through uncooked foods and unclean surfaces. After all, cooking food on a big rock can’t be all that sanitary.

Convert DVD to AVI File – Movavi VideoSuite Discount

by Luke Richards

Converting DVD to AVI files has several advantages. They are single files that can conveniently store an entire movie in one place on your hard drive that takes up less space than a typical DVD file while still maintaining decent quality picture and sound. They are typically stored using a DivX or Xvid codec by a backup program.

AVi files are very common, so much so that many DVD players made today actually support their playback as an additional feature. So if you backup a disc to your computer, you can burn it onto another with a lower file size and still be able to play it on your TV with near-DVD quality!

An excellent piece of software developed my Movavi to do this kind of thing is the Movavi Videosuite. It can actually do much more than just convert DVD to AVI files (it can also burn, and edit movies and more). It is a complete video editing tool that is used personally as well as professionally by thousands of people.

It only takes a few steps to backup your DVDs to AVI files with Movavi Videosuite:

1. Open up Movavi Videosuite and click DVD. Click Add DVD in order to backup everything on the DVD. Browse the disk and select the IFO and VOB files which contain the movie.

2. Select an audio track for the DVD you want to convert (get the correct language…)

3. Choose format for output (AVI is best)

4. Select the place on your hard drive to save the movie after conversion.

5. Click ‘convert’ to start reading from the DVD and saving to your computer.

Using this method you can store your DVDs in a small amount of space. If you want you can even burn them back to another DVD and store up to 4 or 5 movies on a single DVD!

Of course, remember to only make backup copies of DVDs that you rightfully own.

Client Testimonials And How To Make The Most Of Them

by Brian D McEvoy

Are you making the most of testimonials that you got from satisfied clients? If not, here are 7 ways to boost your marketing efforts

1) If you?re using testimonials on your website, make it stand out from the rest of the text. Try to use a colored box or use different fonts. Anything that makes it look different from the rest of the text on your site. Include the client?s (buyer?s) name and their website if they have one (but don?t hyperlink it as you don?t want your valuable visitors to click away from your site). Pick a testimonial that is specific to one aspect of your offer (eg, super customer service, speedy delivery, awesome price etc). To give the testimonial more value and credibility try and add a photo of the person who gave the testimonial. How do you get this? Just ask for it!

2) Have a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page and include testimonials here. This is very powerful if you can use a client testimonial as an answer. For example, you may include a question about customer support, and then use a testimonial confirming how good it is, as the answer.

3) Set up testimonials in an autoresponder message and place the email address or sign-up box on your site, so that it’s available 24/7 upon request.

4) Batch up a bunch of testimonials into your own report or guide in PDF format available as a free download to help your prospects and clients with future shopping. You could set them up by categories according to which types of services you offer for handy reference, too; for example, Audio Software, Books, Copywriting Services, etc.

5) Turn your testimonials into case studies and articles to use for promotional purposes. Start off with enticing headlines based upon the main point each testimonial focuses on like Super Support Service, Awesome Attention to Details, etc. Then include quotes or excerpts and even a link to your site for more information or to download the entire report or case study (or have this preloaded into an autoresponder and offer the web address to it as a Free Report in your last paragraph). Submit the articles to online article directories.

6) Try to use your testimonials in any offline marketing efforts like mail shots, brochures, print newsletters and post cards. They could even work well in radio or TV ads.

7) Use press releases if you believe offline publications and media may have an interest in your information, query them by researching how to do this first in freelance writer books from the public library. Then take action: submit the press releases to online press release sites and PRWeb.com then follow up with editors and publishers.
