The Popularity Of Karaoke Songs – Who Likes What

by Ian Carter

So karaoke songs are just like any other songs right? Well yes and no. They have the same tunes but they are not by the same artists. Karaoke music is never performed by the same artists that prepared it for the vocalists. That’s why you will notice a big difference in the same music being offered by different Karaoke disc jockeys. It all depends on which label they buy.

You can find almost every type of karaoke song that you could possibly want. It has become just as popular as our standard forms of cds, and DVDs. Again you will find that you probably will form certain preferences to the labels. You can find karaoke songs that will have the vocalist that you can sing along with, or just the background music or even both.

There are always favorite by the majorities. In 2007 it was “I will survive” Gloria Gaynor lyrics, second in the running is “I got you babe” cher lyrics, then the third is “Sweet Caroline” Neil Diamond lyrics. These are pretty interesting choices being as they are not heavy rock or pop, and they have been around for years. Last on a list of about 50 is “we built this city”.

Karaoke songs are gaining a lot of popularity among the Christian sector. it’s a wonderful way for a church soloist to practice his/her music. It provides great background music for choirs that haven’t a music system. Its even perfect for the church audience to sing along with.

These songs can also be beneficial for children to practice their speech with. More often than not children find it easier to sing then to talk, and by getting them to sing it may help them with their pronunciation.

In 2007 there was a general concessions of what was the worst songs. Starting at the bottom of the list. The 10th on this list was “Friends In Low Places” Lyrics by Garth Brooks. The general idea of this one was to get everyone listening to join in and sing with you. Fifth place was “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mixalot. Then finally the grand winner of the worst song for 2007 is awarded to “Love Shack” by B-52s. So as one can see there are the same trends, and ups and downs in karaoke songs just like the regular songs.

Then there’s the most over done ones. Songs that everybody wants to do and feels most comfortable with. “Crazy” By Patsy Kline, is a well loved song. Probably that’s why this one is such a popular one. “Delta Dawn” by Tanya Tucker. This one is one that almost everyone has heard, and it often the first one that comes to mind when going over the charts to choose from.” Summer Nights” by John Travola and Olivia Newton John is dubbed as probably being one of the most popular duets every sung.

There are many factors that people consider when they are picking the song they want to sing at a Karaoke and often is not based on whether they have the voice for that song. Its usually based on, because they just like that song the best, it sounds like its going to be the easiest to sing, or they like the artist.

Hydrogen Powered Cars Explained

by Adrian Fletcher

Hydrogen gas can be produced using a wide variety of methods, several of which could include incineration of trash to produce the heat necessary to release hydrogen from both water and natural gas. While we may not be able to toss a banana peel into the gas tank and head off al a back to the future, that very same banana peel when used in a hydrogen production facility can ultimately be a key ingredient in the production of the fuel that will fill the tank of hydrogen powered cars.

Hydrogen powered cars can utilize hydrogen through several different methods. A hydrogen internal combustion engine powered vehicle utilizes the same engine used in the gasoline-powered production models with the exception of being modified to burn hydrogen fuel.

Cars can be converted to run totally on hydrogen as a fuel, replacing gasoline altogether. Cars can also be adapted with kits that add hydrogen gas to the existing air fuel mixture of the gasoline engine. This can result in improvements in gas mileage and a reduction in vehicle emissions.

Hydrogen powered cars are roughly three times more efficient than their fossil fueled counterparts and have low to zero emissions resulting in a carbon footprint free vehicle. Electric vehicles can be set up to utilize hydrogen as the fuel for on board electrical generation. An electric or fuel cell vehicle has a storage tank for hydrogen gas, which is fed into a fuel cell where the hydrogen is converted into electricity to power all vehicle systems.

Hydrogen fuel is cheaper to produce in addition to being a truly renewable source of energy. It takes 300 billion gallons of water to refine the gasoline Americans burn each year, but it would only take 100 billion gallons to refine the same amount of hydrogen fuel. As a result, hydrogen costs about half as much per gallon as gasoline.

The number of hydrogen powered cars will increase steadily as hydrogen fueling stations become more available. Starting in 2008, several hydrogen powered vehicles will already be available in limited numbers. Even now, every major automobile company is working on designing and engineering its own model. Some car makers are also trying to develop in-home systems that produce hydrogen, meaning that we could conceivably not only have pumps in the driveway to fuel up hydrogen powered cars in the future, but we could also supply hydrogen fuel to supply electrical power to our homes.

While you might think that safety could be an issue, a hydrogen-powered car is at least as safe as a regular car. High-stress testing has been done to insure that the tanks used for storing the hydrogen fuel can survive even the most serious accidents.

Bluffing Your Way Around The World

by Formula Seven

Bluffing is the ultimate trick in hold em poker. The ability to be cunning is one major element of playing poker. Think, for a minute, why would someone want to bluff his opponents?

The reason could only be to make your opponents think that you are holding something better than what you really have. The problem is that in order for them to believe this you have to be convincing. Way too many players love to bluff so much that they are actually horrible at it.

Some players love to bluff! Some do it so much that they are indeed horrible at it. It then becomes completely ineffective.

When it is misused it will become very inefficient. There are moments to bluff and times not to. The term “bluff value means there is no sense in bluffing if you do not use it as an effective tool in the very perfect situation.

The best moments to bluff are when then there are only a couple of people left to play and others have folded. Some will remain in the hand just to keep you honest. Before you decide to bluff, you should be familiar with the players that you play with.

Look for people who fear easy! They are the easiest targets. These are players who get intimidated easily!

Are you the type of player that throws in your cards the minute you know you can’t win? If so, then there will be more bluffing opportunities for you then for the next guy. This will make your opponents see that you stayed in.

Be careful not to be too early to bluff. If you are the type of player who folds your cards within a minute when you know you can not win then there will be more opportunities for your bluffing then for the next guy. It is all about precision timing.

When your opponents see that you stayed and perhaps launched a bet, they believe that you mean business and likely times. Another time that could be a good time to bluff is if you’re in a position late and everyone what is already checked. Let’s say you bet before the flop and you miss, you do not match a darn thing, do your opponents know?

Since they don’t, you can use this to your advantage. To be most effective, you should know your players. How do you think that your opponents look at you?

If so, they are much more likely to retreat to your bluff if you play on the right track. Sometimes, when there is a pair on the board is a good time to bluff, especially if the cards are lower.

Video Blog Vs. Traditional Blogging

by Damian Benko

Video blogging, aka Vlogging, have many things that are better than traditional text-based blogs. It’s not surprising that more and more people are moving to this form of blogging. These new types of blogs are much better for getting and holding the attention of your browsers. People are even more likely to become drawn to the video content of a vlog over that of an ordinary written posting on a the typical blog.

The more people you can get coming to you site and keep them coming back, the better chance you’ll have the best form of advertising, word of mouth, take place. This will ultimately then bring in more traffic to your site and of course, more money in your wallet if you’re monetizing your site, which you should be doing!

Now, there can also be some disadvantages to video blogging. However, these are easily overcome. Hosting can be a problem and can require quite a bit of server space, which can make it difficult to get started. That’s only if you decide to do the hosting yourself. The great way to host for free is to use a service like YouTube, Google Video or Viddler. Then just take the embed code and copy and paste it up on your site. Let the big boys handle the bandwidth issues and costs for you.

If you don’t want to use those services and want more control, use a service like Amazon’s storage service called S3. They charge per GB used when you upload and then for bandwidth. The cost is about .10/GB to upload and then .17/GB for bandwidth usage. This is such a small cost for complete control.

The time it takes to process and upload a video file is another difference to just writing a text article on a traditional blog. Operating a video blog also will mean a little more effort, especially if you’re not used to working with the shooting and editing process of videos.

The truth is that once you get used to it, then it really is pretty simple. The hardest part for many is simply going through with the shooting process.

Also, due to some computers and connections, some individuals may get fed up with uploading or playback issues now and then.

Most people have a fast connect an updated software to handle videos, but keep in mind the market that you are sending to your blog. If they are older folks who don’t know much about the internet still, a video blog might not be the best choice. Just keep your market in mind before you decide.

No matter what blog you decide to go with, a traditional or video blog or even a combo of the two, like I do, just be sure to give your viewers solid content that will always help them. And make sure that you have a good time and always be true to yourself!

15 Singing Tips – Afraid Of Live Performance?

by Jackie Cummings

Are you afraid of public karaoke performance? Before you start singing, you must: Memorize your songs – Discover the tune, the language, and practise the actions you are going to use. It is also really essential to learn and know precisely where to come in at the opening of the song.

Sleep – Get lots of rest the night before you perform.

Singing – Rest your voice on the day of your performance but make sure you warm it up the right way before you perform.

Eating – Make sure that you don’t drink carbonated drinks or ice drinks before you sing. Same goes with milk, yoghurt, cream, ice cream, cheese etc. This is not at all proposing that you should avoid eating these foods altogether. Just be conscious that when you have to perform particular foods can interfere with your singing. It is a great idea to eat a couple of hours before you have to perform in order to permit the food to digest. It is no fun trying to sing on a full stomach. Some people wait until after they perform to eat, but I wouldn’t propose this. First reason is that you need the vigour to be able to sing well. I have also learned that it’s better to eat before you sing because it will help to keep your anxiety at a more workable level. If you don’t eat you will become even more worried and unable to control the anxiety.

Breathing – Deep ventilation is suggested to facilitate you with performance anxiousness. The more you sing the simpler it gets. Still, this does not happen with everyone. Some individuals proceed to battle with anxiousness. The fundamental thing you want to remember is to never give up. Don’t let the fearfulness stop you from doing what you enjoy.

Dress to impress – When you are going to perform make sure that you dress fitly. It is better to be over dressed than under dressed.

Make up – Stage lights can make a individual look washed out or really sick. So a bit of colour will help you to avoid this. Age appropriate make up please!

Hair – Make it look good!

Warm up your voice before you sing – Do your vocal practices, breathing and warm ups.

Arrive on time – You could get disqualified or a replacment might be found if you are late.

Smile – As soon as you walk on stage you have set about your performance. Put your shoulder joints back and smile confidently.

Enjoy yourself – Masses will savour your public presentation more if you are involved in what you are singing.

Mistakes – If you happen to make a mistake act as though nothing encountered and keep enduring. Don’t say sorry, whoops, wind your eyes or commence laughing. Most people won’t have a hint that you have made a fault.

Acknowledge and put across the content of the song – During performance it is very powerful to commune the message or story behind the song. Dont just stand like a statue. Learn about your character. Practice this at home when you sing your songs. If you do not practice beforehand you will not be able to make it materialise on the day of your performance.

Applause – Stand and receive the applause as it’s being given and then walk off the stage. Constantly make sure that you hold back until the music stops before you depart. Remember that walking on and off stage are both critical parts of your performance.

Reward yourself – After singing try not to recall about the negatives. A performance is rarely complete in every way. Don’t allow slips or letdowns stop you from singing once more. A person who never makes any faults doesn’t do anything.

Information on Pros and Cons plus Click Fraud with Google Adsense

by Gibson Maseko

AdSense is generally a great tool for webmasters. Whereas, they would use to worry about how to raise enough money to keep their sites profitable, or at least keep them on-line those worries are gone.

AdSense is a very good means of generating constant revenue on your site. All you need to do is create some quality content and keep it updated constantly and you can literally live off your website. A lot of people are doing just that nowadays with AdSense, so it’s become sort of a business in itself.

But as stated, above, there are some negative aspects to advertising with AdSense and here’s a small list of such cons.

The earning AdSense brings you are by no means constant. In fact, they’re not even close to that. Anything you do to your site could end up being a big mistake costing you a great deal of money. It’s that kind of pressure that has a negative impact on you.

You should always write original content, and when writing original content, the best thing a website owner can do is research a topic thoroughly and then return to writing with lots of information they can out in their own words, and show their own opinion on.

So there are the pros and cons of using the AdSense network for generating profits through advertising. Now the choice of whether or not these work for you is yours.

Click fraud

If you’re using AdWords or AdSense you must have heard about an emerging practice in the underworld of computing called “click fraud”. But what exactly is click fraud and how is it accomplished?

Google’s AdSense protection scheme is by no means perfect and nearly anyone can find the details of surmounting the protection mechanism, ironically just by doing a Google search.

The people or webmasters who use other forms of getting clicks on their sites eventually get caught and their accounts banned on Google for “click fraud”. And don’t think this happens only in isolated instances. There is a great deal of illegal activity going on.

It is estimated that more then 20% of the clicks that follow an AdSense link are just done in order to get money from the person paying for the ad. Some people believe the number of fraudulent clicks to be even twice as large.

But to get the best out of adsense is to optimize your site for good search engine rankings. Build as many optimized pages as you can, then traffic and click will come once the pages start to rank high.

Should You Consider Employing Email Marketing In Your Business?

by Darrel Hawes

At its most basic level, email marketing can be described as touching your intended audience by using email. This particular method should be thought of in the same way as the use of direct postal mail, telemarketing, selling in person, websites, radio, and television. The reality is that email can be employed hand-in-hand with any or all of the above methods with often remarkable results.

Marketing using email is merely writing directly to a particular group of your target audience, to be specific, those who have provided you with specific permission to communicate with them via email. By specific permission, to be clear what is referred to is the action of clicking on a link that identifies the reader’s intention to receive future information from you. In the case of a double optin list, the reader also must confirm his or her subscription by clicking on the link in a confirmation email sent their email address for that purpose.

Due to these precautions, email marketing should not automatically be labeled as “spam”. What is spam? Briefly, it can be described as unwanted commercial email. Your uncle Bob who forwards all those corny jokes is not spamming you. Ethical email marketers are not in the same class as spammers due to the fact that the recipient is added only with their express permission, and in addition, every email contains a unsubscribe method that is easy to carry out.

What is included in email marketing communications?

In general, email marketing messages will include:

The latest news important the subject in which you and your readers share a common interest. You might be in the homeschool niche, in which case you would likely want to discuss about legal matters, new tools and curriculum, and similar information. When you offer relevant information and even better, place your own spin on it, this will help you to become an advisor that your readers trust.

Tips and tricks. A method often employed is to give some level of basic education. A good use of this technique would be to send out an email course on how to grow roses. Alternatively, you might speak to one problem that aspiring rose growers often deal with.

Offer products and services for sale. This probably will not surprise you: a marketer might want to sell you something! The specific action you encourage your reader to take will depend on your individual circumstance. If you’re not offering something for sale today, you will likely be leading them farther along your sales funnel.

Actions encouraged by your email sales messages may include:

* Click on link to sales page

* Pick up the phone and call for more information

* Sign up for free teleseminar

Commercial bulk emails can be classified as “broadcast” messages or “sequential” messages. The latter are often labeled “autoresponders” for the fact that process behind including a subscriber to your list is automated, and in addition, the system keeps track of when to send follow up messages.

Six Pieces Of Information A Telesales Person Needs From Every Call

by Terry Stanfield

Making sales as a business to business telemarketer can be challenging. Many people do not react kindly to telesales people and even businesses which are approached with needed products or services can turn away callers. There are many things you can do as a telesales person to make closing the sale easier including knowing what to say and how to approach potential clients and customers.

If you want to be a successful telesales person you will need the right approach when talking to potential clients and customers. There is a lot of important information you should gather during your call that will make identifying your customer’s needs and closing the sale easier.

The first piece of information you should get is to clearly define the customer’s needs. Using open ended questions and suggestions will allow you to access exactly what your potential customer needs and will allow you to better match them with products and services.

Along with determining your customers needs, you also need to find out what problem or problems your potential customer needs to solve. Knowing this information will make it easier for you to suggest the product or service that will solve their problem.

It can be hard for business to business telemarketers to close sales, which is why it is important to find out how interested a potential customer is in your product or service. Knowing a potential customer’s level of interest will enable you to be more aggressive, or back off, of your sales approach to more effectively close the sale.

You will also want to determine the best way to follow up with your customer. Knowing how they prefer to receive further contact, via phone, email, regular mail, or in person will set you up for positive continued communication.

Find out if a potential customer already has similar products or services to those you are offering. If they do you can use this information to offer comparisons or new alternatives.

You should also find out what other interests or needs a potential customer may have. They may need a product or service that your business can offer but that you did not consider offering because you were not aware that the need was there.

Listening to your customer is an important part of business to business telemarketing. Make sure you ask questions and gather information to understand your potential customer’s needs in order to be successful with your sales calls.

Web Hosting Services for Personal Websites

by Matt Hedges

Designing a website is not an easy job, and for sure, you must have worked very hard on it by using your creativity and devoting time to it. After designing, it’s high time you publish it on the internet. In case of web hosting, a lot of people remain confused about whether to opt for paid web hosting or free service. Yes, the costs involved with paid services are low, but still, it’s a cash outflow.

Web hosting basically makes your site available for the general public to see, and the public can check out your site and communicate with you if they intend to purchase something. There are many ways of conducting web hosting. So it is very important that you be aware of what features you require for your site, and select a service accordingly in order to save you unnecessary costs. If the designed website is a personal one, then you must take a decision about which type of web hosting service do you need. Many web hosting services are available on the internet. You can find them by searching for them online, and you can also check out the various features and plans offered by them.

Different web hosting companies have different features and various plans to suit their clients, which may again be different from that of the competitors. The features that we would discuss are the important ones and need to be checked immediately when you consider a web hosting service.

You should always check how much space is on offer and this can be done by examining the file sizes on their server. It is possible to use sub-domains if space dictates and having excess space will make it possible to do more later. It is also important to check the traffic levels on your site. Some sites will check this regularly for you and it would be in your best interests to find a site that doesn’t impose a limit on how much traffic a site can have. Sites with traffic limits will invariably exceed this limit and prevent visitors from viewing the site. This would create a bad impression and possibly prevent other users from coming to your site.

Some people consider signing up with a free provider to be a great tactic as it requires no outlay on their behalf. Some of the free providers are able to offer an attractive 10-20 MBS of space whereas others offer POP3 email services. Other free providers may provide FTP access. These features make many people believe that the end is night for paid for web hosting services but this may not necessarily be the case.

The most important bit in this regard is the need for the services that paid hosts offer. Most of the time, you might not need the extra services. You might simply need a web server that could display java scripts and HTML data to the visitors. Unless you want to have an e-Commerce website, you will hardly need SQL databases or services as such.

Understanding the full situation will enable the best decision to be made. A free service may offer you what you need but will it be enough? Many free hosts can offer the service at no cost because they place advertisements on your site and this is not a great image for many people. There may not be a financial cost but you can pay through having pop-up ads, banners, hot links and many other objects on your site. This can make your site look cramped and be unattractive to many users. This free service will also ensure you have a long domain name and this can hamper the number of visitors you receive. A long name may put off many potential visitors and may dissuade them from making you a favorite. This name will also impact on the popularity of your site on search engines which can affect your sites overall effectiveness.

If you have a personal website, it would help you a great deal in promoting your professional image to the business contacts or even present or potential employers. So think about it. If you hand over a business card to your actual or potential employer, and in the contact information, he would find your email address as name@freeserver.com, then it would most certainly create a bad impression in his mind. If your present portfolio would be available at something.freehost.com, then you would, for sure, be quite uncomfortable attending the interview. So even though you might be a thorough professional in your work, but if your website or URL reflects otherwise, no one will glance at you for the second time.

Having a strong personal site is something that many professionals are aiming for these days. If you want success you have to be a success and a web address that is personal to you like www.myname.com or sending emails from email@myname.com would be very impressive. This may cost money but the benefits would be large and long-lasting. Free can be good but it isn’t for everyone so don’t automatically think you should take this option. Some others may have to but they will not be able to provide an image as classy as yours so who wins in the long run? Knowing that many visitors will not return to free sites after they continually crash will give you a greater degree of confidence that people will visit your paid for site more often.

If image is not important then a free host can do the job. If the site is for friends and family to enjoy there is no need to waste money on this service. A free service can also be good as it would force you to learn about web hosting and you would gain good knowledge from it. This is a reason why free hosts are increasing in popularity with some users.

These factors and more is what you need to consider but any decision must be based upon what your site needs. A site for business requires a paid hosting service but a site for personal reasons can exist very happily on a free provider.
