Five Reasons To Upgrade To An LCD Monitor

by Mark Gensen

When I got my first computer back in the 80’s, things were a lot different. Small 12″ black and white monitors were the norm. And the CRT(Cathode-Ray Tube) Monitor became the norm. Boy how times have changed the look of computers.

If you’ve still got that bulky monitor on your desk, now might be the time to upgrade to an LCD monitor. They’re smaller, cheaper and actually bigger than your old CRT monitor.

First off, the new LCD monitors take up a lot less space than a normal monitor. While still having the same viewable area, they are about 10-20% as deep as older CRT monitors. Giving you a lot more desk space without the huge hog of a monitor.

Second, LCD monitors have drastically dropped in price. They are much cheaper than they ever have been before. You can routinely find 19 inch LCD monitors for sale for under $200. Just a few years ago, LCD monitors were double to triple the price of a normal CRT monitor. These prices have equalized just in the last year or two.

Third, they are larger than ever. I’m talking pure screen size. The most popular size of normal/CRT monitors was 15″, while many LCD’s are coming in at 19″ or larger. It means you get more on your screen at one time, plus it looks larger and clearer than ever before.

Fourth, LCD display quality is vastly improved. Gone are the days when the pictures were jagged and refreshed very slowly. LCD monitors in fact are faster, brighter and clearer than their equivalent normal CRT monitors. The quality has undergone dramatic transformation.

Fifth, in many cases your graphics card on a new computer will only support an LCD monitor. The interface between a computer and a monitor can be accomplished in many different ways. The cheaper and most effective method of connecting to an LCD is the new digital outputs which are no longer compatible with older monitors.

There really is nothing holding you back any longer. If you need a quick upgrade, or are looking for an improved computing experience. Now is the time to move towards a new LCD monitor.

Real Estate Investing FAQ

by Anne Fletcher

A real estate investing FAQ discusses frequently asked questions about real estate investing. Real estate investing means different things to different people but there are basic questions about investing in real estate that most real estate investors want to know. These questions are what make up the real estate investing FAQ.

The first question that most real estate investors ask is where to invest. Finding an area to invest and a good property to invest in is difficult. This question is in all real estate FAQ but the answer is not always clear. If it is that easy to find a good property then everyone will already be rich but they are not so it is hard to find one.

If you are lucky enough to find a good investment property, then the next is often what to do with the property to make money, lots of money. This is an easier real estate FAQ to answer because it is about strategies. There are many ways to invest in a property such as renting, fixing up and sell, flipping, buying and holding and so forth.

Once you have decided what to do with the property, the next real estate FAQ is actually how to buy the property, how to write an offer, how to deal with various people involved such as realtors and homeowners. You would be surprised how much work there is to do after you have decided to invest in a property.

Not only you need to fill out lots of paperwork and forms, you will need to do lots of work to ensure that the home is a really good investment. There are many investors whom find out later after purchase that there are more repairs than first estimated. The more work you do before signing on the dotted line, the safer the investment is.

Sometimes, you will have to deal with people who don’t want to deal with you to get your property. Homeowners in foreclosure, for example, are unhappy sellers but they need your help and you need to buy their property. Sometimes you will deal with the bank directly such as in buying REO or real estate owned properties. Real estate investing FAQ will prepare you for what to do.

Real estate investing is a more hand on type of investing, unlike stocks and bonds where everything can be done online or over the phone. Most investors would want to actually see the property. By reading the real estate investing FAQ, you can be prepared for what you need to do and not to omit anything important.

Bruce Sulzner on Confidentiality of Client Communications

by Rick Chapo

In the modern world the rule of law trumps most other ways of dealing with disputes. If you find yourself in the middle of a dispute, you want to succeed and that means having a good working relationship with your attorney.

Finding an attorney is a catch 22 proposition. There are lots of us around, but how do you tell who is competent and who is not? It is a difficult proposition to say the least. There simply is not a solid, independent rating system for lawyers people can use.

A referral from someone you know is probably your best option when it comes to finding a lawyer you can count on. Even then, the prospects of successful dispute resolution really depend on your relationship with the legal professional.

Nobody likes discussing delicate matters for fear of them being revealed to others. When talking with your lawyer, you do not have to worry about this. The attorney client privilege requires that the lawyer forgo making any such disclosures.

Why does this confidentiality exist? The view of the courts is that there must be a free flow of information between attorney and client to make sure justice is done. This means discussing positive and negative items, thus the privilege.

There is, however, an important thing to remember about this privilege. You cannot make something illegal privileged by telling your attorney. If you repeat a slanderous statement to an attorney, it is not suddenly off limits in a legal case.

On to a second major issue in attorney client discussions. What should you tell your attorney? The answer is very simple. Tell them everything they ask for. What if you leave something out because you do not think it is important?

Never leave out facts or negative issues. Your lawyer especially wants to know those things. The opposing party is going to be hammering on those items. Your attorney wants to have a plan for dealing with them.

As the attorney, the worst thing that can happen to you is to be surprised by some new development in court. While this happens all the time on television, it should not happen in real life. Whatever you do, tell your attorney everything he or she asks about.

How often in your life do you have the chance to tell someone everything with no fear of disclosure? The attorney client privilege allows for that. Take advantage of it. Do not hold back. Tell the lawyer everything so your case can have the best chance of success as possible.

SaleHoo Sucks?

by Paul Jenrod

Online auction marketer Terry Gibbs has stated that he believes SaleHoo is a scam, but after looking much closer into his review, it has become obvious that there is something sinister at play here. Terry is profiteering from his biased review by directing his readers to purchase from him instead.

Through the use of a large banner advertisement on his salehoo sucks review site, Terry is actually promoting his own product through writing a defamatory and biased review of his competitor salehoo.

Evidence that all is not above board in Terry’s website is obvious when a user tries to post a comment on his forum. You can’t, he has disabled comments. Yet there are comments there. How can there be comments there if they are disabled?

Terry gives some very weak evidence that SaleHoo is a scam by stating that not all of SaleHoo’s deals are bargains. SaleHoo does not control the suppliers in its directory and also the prices that Terry used as examples were not accurate at the date of his review. The prices offered by SaleHoo’s wholesalers were actually lower than Terry claimed.

Be aware that none of the content of AuctionXFactor was copied or plagiarized in any way from Terry Gibb’s Auction Revolution. Terry seems to have a vendetta against SaleHoo and is also profiteering from his biased review.

The word scam is a very strong word to use. And it is certainly not one that should be used without due thought. Yet is seems to drop so quickly from Terry Gibbs with little evidence to back up his words. Yet the true reasons for his claims become obvious when you see that he promotes his own product straight after telling people that salehoo is a scam.

So you’re probably wondering, what is SaleHoo anyway? SaleHoo is a large directory of genuine quality wholesalers and dropshippers. Members pay a one off fee to access this directory, plus other features designed to help online auction sellers. Included in these are a SaleHoo labs tool for finding profitable markets, and also a thriving members forum.

The internet usually doesn’t forget this kind of thing and that is unfortunate in this type of case where the innocent party, SaleHoo, gets unfairly negatively affected by the vendetta of one man.

SaleHoo has written their own reply to Terry’s review. It is difficult for some people to find on the internet as sensationalist stories such as the one told by Terry tend to rise higher in the search engines.

Xbox 360- Red Ring Of Death

by Jimmie Roberts

You’ve had your Xbox 360 for years, and you’re convinced that it’s the pinnacle of gaming excellence. The problem is you’ve finally gotten that dreaded red ring of death. What are your options?

First, you could buy a new Xbox 360. The new console is only $299, and it offers HDMI Output. The older version only had the HD Components. The problem is it’s very difficult to find TV’s that will share nicely with multiple component level connections. While on the other hand you can find many TV’s that have multiple HDMI inputs.

Also the newer versions of the Xbox 360’s are coming out with larger hard drives. In fact the new version of the Xbox Basic that sells for $299 has a 60GB hard drive. That in and of itself is a good reason to “upgrade”.

Microsoft also claims that with the new Xbox 360s they’ve made some of the chips smaller which should reduce overheating. And it does appear that the first models that came out almost all failed while the newer versions have gotten quite good. We’ll see if they really have licked the problem.

Second, for those with electronic experience, the repair itself is pretty straight forward. However, I must reiterate that you should have extensive electronic experience to undertake this, a small slip and you’ll end up killing your entire system. There are ebooks, message boards, and video tutorials on how to fix xbox 360’s so there is definitely some help out there if you’re feeling adventurous.

A viable third option would be to send the console back to Microsoft. Microsoft will fix the console anytime within 3 years of purchase, so chances are you still are under warranty. If however you’ve cracked the case yourself, or had other work done on the console then you’ll have no choice but to pay the price Microsoft demands. Currently they charge $140 if you send them an xbox 360 out of warranty.

As a fourth alternative, there are plenty of independent repair firms that will fix xbox 360’s. These repairs start at around $69 and go to around $200. Make sure you look for a company with a good warranty, and that guarantees their work.

Regardless of what you choose, there are definitely options to getting back into the gaming world with your Xbox 360. Now, the only question is when can we get a Blue-ray drive with our 360?

Montreal Saunas

by Amy Nutt

There are so many health benefits associated with saunas that many people have incorporated them into their daily or weekly routine. There are plenty of saunas to be found within Montreal, so there?s really no reason not to add it to your health routine if you are interested.

Finding Saunas in Montreal

When looking for a sauna in Montreal, you?ll want to ensure that you take into account several factors.

Location: Even if a sauna is great, you probably won’t go as often as you would like if it’s on the other side of town. Find a sauna that is near your work or home so you have a good reason to go there and it won’t seem like a huge chore to drive the whole way.

Price: Not all Montreal saunas are priced the same. The location will have an effect on the price, but so will the quality and the equipment. For example, if you are going to a full spa center that offers many different services, the prices are probably going to be different than a sauna exclusive space.

Staff: How you are treated when you go to the sauna has a huge impact on how you rate the place. When the staff are grumpy and unhelpful, it really isn?t worth continuing in the same place. Knowing what kind of temperament you are looking for in a space will be very helpful and should definitely be considered.

Services: What other services are offered? Sometimes it’s worth driving a few minutes out of your way to multitask. If you can use the sauna and then have your hair done in the salon or get a manicure, you’ll save a lot of extra time and this alone is worth opting for the more feature-laden sauna center.

Options: How many people are in the sauna? Are personal saunas available or will you be sweating it out with a number of strangers? These are important questions to ask and it can really help to see the building before you commit to anything more than a one-time visit. Some people enjoy the social nature of a traditional Finnish sauna, while others prefer to pay a bit more for a private sauna where they can relax in peace and quiet and not have to speak with anyone.

Quality: How nice a sauna is will probably have a pretty big effect on how often you want to go. If the area is seedy and you find the actual sauna to be dirty or smell odd, chances are pretty slim that you?ll be back. Take the time to find a good sauna that is actually worth going to. The best saunas will always be neat and clean, with wooden walls and benches and should be very comfortable. The actual amenities in each sauna will vary, of course.

Recommendations: While you can certainly do your own research and seek out a dozen different saunas in the area, it is far faster to go on a friend?s recommendation. People like you will have similar tastes and interests in saunas and this can be useful in finding one that you will actually like and stay with.

The Finnish originally brought saunas to Canada and to Montreal and they are still a big part of the life here. While the original saunas are mostly gone now, new ones have sprung up with the intention of bringing saunas into the modern world. Now you?ll find not only steam saunas in Montreal, but also infrared saunas that provide even more health benefits. All you have to do is look, no matter what your preference.

Move Away from Traditional Floor Plans

by Ed Edwards

The concept of office design is a comparatively modern one. Since the beginning of “the working day” and “the office”, little attention has been focused on the way an workplace was laid out. If any thought was considered, it was normally kept to the visual appeal of an work space and this has, regrettably, remained the normal assumption when a company considers an office design. Whilst visual aesthetics stay as a vital aspect of office design, modern companies now see office design embodying the much broader idea of space management. Modern office design not only creates a visually beautiful interior, it also aims to create an efficient and practical working space.

Office design is necessary for a variety of reasons, for both workers and the workplace as a whole. For the company, modern office design offers the opportunity to create a place of business that proclaims a strong corporate identity. It is here that visual aesthetics reach their most vital function as they work to demonstrate to a visiting customer about the business, what it values, what its priorities are and what it thinks of itself. First impressions count and the visual appeal of the area that customers see initially is most vital.

For employees, too, exceptional office design is especially important. Visually, a well-designed workplace will improve employees morale. An office should be an inspirational place to work and not just a “working space”. Just as for customers, usingoffice design to brand an office with a strong corporate identity can encourage a positive work culture and encourage employees to work in a way appropriate to the values of the business.

Exceptional office design also has a more practical function as it takes into account how an workplace will work and incorporates that knowledge to create a practical and useful space. It should also include features that will work to support workers with particular needs, such as employees with disabilities. In this regard, office design works in conjunction with workplace health and safety in order to build a cohesive, practical and enjoyable environment for all workers.

It is important to know that office design is an ongoing practicality, rather than a one-off design event. The office refurbishment must keep up to the demands natural in a working space, where how an office is utilized is regularly changing. New workplace and safety laws must also be factored in. Finally, the evolving nature of a company’s brand and corporate identity is an additional reason why it’s crucial to keep office design modern.

There are two options when thinking about office design software: whether it will be a new fit-out or whether it will be an office refurbishment. A new fit-out should be evaluated for current premises, as well as new ones, as it allows a business the special chance to create a customized plan that works in conjunction with a company’s workplace requirements. The other option is an office refurbishment, which is an good option if the essential structure of the workplace is still adequate for employees requirements and gives the opportunity to update and modernize economically.

There are various aspects to think about in an office design. Precedence should be given to considerations of how a office will be used. What are the traffic flows in the workplace? Where should meeting spaces be situated? What are the special requirements of employees who may have special needs? All of these questions must be addressed by the office design if a office is to work practically. Additionally, thought should be given to the storage requirements of an workplace, what equipment will be used and where it should be stored, where the power and data points are (or should be), what kind of light sources are in the workplace and where they are coming from and any sound or sound-proofing requirements. Visually, thought should be given to color schemes, logos and finishes that work together to construct a contemporary effect that strengthens the corporate brand and identity.

When contemplating how to develop and execute your office design, a company can hire a professional design corporation. There are many businesses that concentrate on office design and a company can employ this expertise to develop a bespoke design with a minimum of worry. An alternative choice is to use office design software. This is an choice that has only become available to the general public relatively recently. It has the potential to allow a corporation to cost-effectively redesign or refurbish their working space. Whichever option is chosen, however, it should be the choice that will achieve a businesses design goals within budget.

Satellite TV For PC - 3 Reasons to Watch Satellite TV on Your PC

by Andy OConnor

There is so much new technology coming out every single year, like satellite TV for PC, it?s sometimes a little hard to keep up with it all. Some of this new technology will make our lives infinitely easier, while some will seem like nothing more than the latest gadget they want us to waste our money on.

The ability to watch satellite TV on your PC stems from the combination of the powers of the internet, and the multitude of channels that can be accessed by connecting to satellites orbiting around the earth. By connecting to these satellites through the internet you immediately have access to over 3,000 TV channels from every corner of the globe.

But, why is being able to watch satellite TV on your PC any better than watching traditional satellite TV on your television? There are many reasons why watching satellite TV through your computer is very advantageous, but let’s just explore three of the best benefits for now.

From my experience, most people use satellite TV on their PC because of the huge amount of money you can save over regular satellite TV systems. Regular satellite TV - through a satellite dish on your roof - costs you a certain amount each month to access. PC based satellite TV systems have no monthly fees at all. The only cost you ever have to pay is for the software which can be purchase online for under $50.

Also, the range of channels on offer when you watch satellite TV on your PC is absolutely amazing. Even with the most basic setup, you’re able to access at least 3,000 channels. All the usual channels you find with traditional satellite TV systems are available - news, movies, kids’, documentaries, music, sport & many more.

Did you know that unlike ordinary satellite TV, satellite TV for PC systems aren’t affected by bad weather?

A nasty winter storm will affect the ability of the satellite dish on your roof to receive the satellite TV signal. If the satellite dish can’t pick up a very good signal, the sound & picture on your TV won’t come through very well either.

Fortunately satellite TV for your PC systems don’t have this problem. When you watch satellite TV on your PC, the data for the TV shows is downloaded through the net. If you still have an internet connection, you’ll still have crystal clear pictures & sound.
